About the Japanese Slipper

Bright green, sweet and refreshingly easy to drink — the Japanese Slipper is one of those cocktails that never goes out of style. First created in 1984 by Melbourne bartender Jean-Paul Bourguignon, who was challenged to craft a cocktail using the then-new Midori melon liqueur, the Japanese Slipper was an instant hit.

Its sweet melon flavour, balanced by the tartness of lemon juice, makes it a crowd-pleaser that's as fun to look at as it is to drink. Perfect for spring and summer sipping, it's simple enough for beginners but impressive enough to serve at any gathering.
