As we all adjust to life under lockdown, we want to keep you updated on how we’re operating our online shopping and delivery services.

Clarification has been issued by the Government on alcohol delivery which enables the operation of online suppliers, like Cocktail Collective, who have an existing remote sales licence to receive orders and deliver alcohol through all Lockdown levels. 

We are therefore able to continue to operate online, shipping nationwide using a contactless courier system.

UPDATE 25.05.20

Courier Post have recently updated their delivery times, and have advised that parcels held or delayed in Level 4 & 3 are now moving through their system more effectively. 
All new orders are being moved with less delays now, although they have advised that some areas of Auckland and Waikato will still be experiencing delivery delays.

Due to the significant increase in demand for online shopping, Courier Post are getting incredibly high numbers of parcels daily. They have advised that they are doing everything they can to ensure parcels are getting delivered within 5 days of their expected delivery date. Please bear this in mind when placing an order. UPDATE 08.05.20

COURIER POST HAVE ADVISED THAT DELIVERY TIMES HAVE SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED SINCE MOVING INTO LEVEL 3, AND THAT THIS IS LIKELY TO CONTINUE INTO THE FIRST WEEK OF LEVEL 2.

We are in regular contact with Courier Post to keep updated on their current delivery timelines. You can read more on their website here. They have advised that 'May 4th was a "record day" with close to double the amount of parcels being handled than at its Christmas peak'. Read more here

We are aware some tracking information is not getting updated. We have been assured that parcels are still getting moved and sent and may even be with couriers, but that their system isn't registering scans at every point of movement. As a result some people's boxes are being delivered before any tracking has been updated.

Courier Post are delivering on Saturdays and Sundays at the moment to try and ensure delivery times are as quick as possible. 

We appreciate your understanding around these unusual circumstances and want to assure you we are doing all we can for orders to be delivered as quickly as possible.

Now we have moved into Level 3, more businesses are able to dispatch products, putting greater pressure on the courier systems. Due to this we have been advised that delivery times are taking longer than usual. Please plan and allow for this when placing your orders.

2-3 days delivery to Auckland addresses
3-4 days delivery to North Island addresses outside Auckland
3-5 days delivery to South Island addresses

Current Guidelines For The Delivery of Alcohol:

Government clarification on the Essential Businesses in relation to alcohol delivery states:

Any entity involved in the supply, delivery, distribution and sale of food, beverage and other key consumer goods essential for maintaining the wellbeing of people. 

The online sale and contactless delivery of alcohol (including spirits) is permitted under the following conditions:

- You must hold an off-license with an endorsement for remote sales under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act. You must comply with requirements of your license.

- The agreed quantity for spirits purchased must be no more than the customs/duty free allowance which is 3 bottles (or other containers) of spirits or liqueur (each bottle or container can hold a maximum of 1.125 litres) per order

As Cocktail Collective has always been an online, ecommerce business, not too much will change in the way we operate. As a team we are taking extra precautions to ensure social distancing and extra hygiene standards are being met during this time.

We’ll ship your order from our Auckland warehouse within 1 business day via Courier Post. They have informed us they are doing everything they can to maintain service levels across courier services.
