Cocktail deliveries - keeping you up to speed during lockdown

As we all adjust to life under lockdown, we want to keep you updated on how we’re operating, our online shopping and delivery services.

Clarification has been issued by the Government on alcohol delivery which enables the operation of online suppliers, like Cocktail Collective, who have an existing remote sales licence to receive orders and deliver alcohol through Level 4 lockdown.  We are therefore able to continue to operate online, shipping nationwide using a contactless courier system.  

Current guidelines for the delivery of alcohol:

Government clarification on the Essential Businesses in relation to alcohol delivery states:

Any entity involved in the supply, delivery, distribution and sale of food, beverage and other key consumer goods essential for maintaining the wellbeing of people.
The online sale and contactless delivery of alcohol (including spirits) is permitted under the following conditions:
- You must hold an off-license with an endorsement for remote sales under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act. You must comply with requirements of your license.
- The agreed quantity for spirits purchased must be no more than the customs/duty free allowance which is 3 bottles (or other containers) of spirits or liqueur (each bottle or container can hold a maximum of 1.125 litres) per order.

As Cocktail Collective has always been an online, ecommerce business, not too much will change in the way we operate. As a team we are taking extra precautions to ensure social distancing and extra hygiene standards are being met during this time.

Delivery times:

Cocktail Collective partners with Courier Post (NZ Post) who’ve told us they are doing everything they can to maintain service levels across courier services for essential deliveries, including food, beverages and essential home items.

That means:

Overnight delivery to Auckland addresses
1-2 days delivery to North Island addresses outside Auckland
2-3 days delivery to South Island addresses

We’ll continue to work closely with Courier Post to ensure we can keep you updated on any changes that might affect delivery timelines. If delivery timelines change significantly we will communicate these changes via our social media platforms (FB & Insta @cocktailcollectivenz), via email to our customers and on our website here.
