To celebrate International Margarita Day we have pulled together three of our favourite margarita recipes for you to enjoy!

Blackberry Grapefruit Margaritas (serves 2)

 

 

  Ingredients:

  6 parts blanco tequila

  6 parts freshly squeezed  grapefruit juice

  4 parts lime juice

  1 part gomme syrup

  Splash of sparkling water

  5-10 blackberries, muddled

  Sprinkles or sugar or salt to coat the rim

 

 

  How to:

Run a wedge of lime across the top of 2 cocktail glasses. Once damp, coat the rim in sprinkles or sugar or salt.

Add all the ingredients except the sparkling water into a cocktail shaker with a few cubes of ice. Shake for 30 seconds until chilled and then strain the margaritas into serving glasses with new ice. Top with a splash of sparkling water in each glass and serve immediately.

Mango Orange Margarita (2 serves)

 

Ingredients:

Chilli Lime salt for the rim of your glass

6 parts Orange Juice

6 parts Mango Nectar

1 part Gomme syrup

3parts Tequila

1 part Lime Juice

 Ice

Lime wheel garnish (optional)

 

How to:

Run a wedge of lime across the top of 2 cocktail glasses. Once damp, coat the rim in your chilli lime salt.

Fill a shaker ½ way with ice. Combine orange juice, mango nectar, gomme, tequila and lime juice and shake for 20-30 seconds.

Pour your Mango Orange Margaritas evenly into your rimmed glasses.

Garnish with lime wedge.

Strawberry-banana frozen Margarita (2 serves)

  Ingredients:

  1 cup chopped, frozen strawberries

  1 ripe banana peeled, chopped and frozen

  6 parts tequila

  2 parts triple-sec

  1 part lime juice

  1 cup crushed ice

 

 

 How to:

Add all ingredients into a blender. Blend in short spurts until mixture is smooth but still thick.

Split mixture between two glasses, garnish as you please. Enjoy!
